LAMDA Examination Classes
Noodle Performance Arts now offer students the chance to take LAMDA exams and gain nationally-recognised qualifications. LAMDA – the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art – is one of the UK’s oldest drama schools and is internationally-renowned for excellence.
Our LAMDA exam sessions will be completely separate to our existing classes and are designed for children who would like to test out their performing skills in a more formal setting.
Noodle Performance Arts has always been proud to offer performing arts classes without any compulsory exams or uniforms. It’s one of the things that makes us different from other theatre schools and we know the fact that we focus on fun rather than formalities appeals to many of our families.
This ethos will remain the same as we believe it is what makes us Noodle. However, we have lots of feedback from parents who are keen for their children to achieve official grades using the skills they have picked up in their Noodle class.
Our LAMDA class will run alongside our existing sessions and give children from age five and up the chance to take exams in acting, verse and prose, mime and musical theatre.
We have chosen LAMDA exams as they are tailored to different ages and measure a child’s progress in speech and drama. The higher levels – grades 6, 7 and 8 – attract UCAS points so can also be used to strengthen a young person’s application for a place at university or college.
Each exam awards marks for interpretation, technique and knowledge. Our LAMDA classes will prepare students so they know what to expect in an exam and help them fulfil their full potential.
